Ship Hull Concept Design With an Open 3D Generation Model-Hunyuan3D-2.0
In the concept stage, the hull design is serious depended on the experienced designers, parent ship database and modeling software. The incredible development of 3D generation models, such as Rodin, Tripo, Meshy, and Hunyuan 3D, however, provide an alternative solution. Initially, the Hunyuan 3D-2 was deployed and trained by 3D ship models, including open models as KCS, DTMB 5415, JBC, their transformation samples and some additional hull sample from local database, and the pre-trained Hunyuan 3D-2 will be named Hunyuan-3D SHIP. Secondly, to output 3D ship hull samples with design conditions preciously, there are six sketches as various design targets loaded by the Hunyuan-3D SHIP, and the smoothness of six generated ship hull surface will be quantified by a slope-checking algorithm to score their quality. After ranking the samples by their quantified surface quality, thirdly, a hybrid fairing algorithm and FFD-lackenby deformation method would be applied on the 3D samples to purchase the design target before simulated by Star CCM+ with Fn between 0.18 to 0.36. In the end, the six 3D hull form samples would be optimized by CAESES individually, and the optimized results would be ranked by their resistance coefficients. This investigation forstering an example on ship design with 3D generation model.
