Analysis of Dynamic Characteristics of Ship Composite Transmission Shaft Based on Carrera Unified Formulation
The composite transmission shaft has been widely used in various engineering fields such as vehicle manufacturing, aerospace, and shipbuilding and Marine engineering in recent years due to their numerous excellent properties including high strength, light weight, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and fatigue resistance. The research object of this paper is the ship composite transmission shaft. A dynamic analysis model of ship composite transmission shaft under classical boundary conditions was established based on Carrera unified formulation (CUF). By using the CUF framework, the complete three-dimensional dynamic model is simplified into a one-dimensional dynamic model with three-dimensional solution accuracy. The displacement field of the ship composite transmission shaft is constructed by using the two-dimensional Taylor formula and the improved Fourier series, and the boundary conditions are processed by the penalty function method. Then, the vibration characteristics are solved by combining the energy functional and the Hamilton principle. The validity and correctness of this method were verified by comparing with the finite element results. On this basis, the influences of parameters such as the boundary penalty function factor, geometric parameters and rotational speed on the vibration characteristics of the ship composite transmission shaft were studied. This method features high efficiency and high precision, providing an effective analytical means for studying the vibration characteristics of ship composite transmission shaft.
