124733 - Reliability Analysis of Ro-Ro Vessel Movable Vehicle Ramps Under Vehicle Moving Load
In the design of roll-on/roll-off ship structures, the movable vehicle ramp structure serves as a bridge connecting different deck levels and is typically subjected to various loads from moving vehicles. However, the loads experienced by the ramp during its use often differ from the design loads considered in the design phase. Due to the uncertainty of vehicle loads and the structural materials themselves, calculating the reliability of the movable vehicle ramp structure during its use is of significant importance. This paper discusses the analysis of the structural reliability of the movable vehicle ramp structure for roll-on/roll-off ships under the action of vehicle moving loads, using the response surface method and the checking-point method(JC method). The weight of the vehicle, the moving speed, and the thickness of the top plate of the movable vehicle ramp are selected as random variables. Based on the finite element calculation results, the functional function of the movable vehicle ramp structure is obtained using the Box-Behnken design response surface method. Then, it is used as the limit state equation to calculate the structural reliability index using the Checking Point method. Finally, based on the parameter sensitivity analysis, the influence of each random variable on the reliability of the movable vehicle ramp structure under vehicle moving loads is assessed. Based on the study design suggestions on the ramp structural are proposed.
